DOO am Samstag kotzt mich an!

Sigh. Can you believe it? I'm actually writing this entry in camp...reason being, it's raining really heavily outside there and i'm not so inclined to go out there and get drenched. Yes, happy Sunday morning, happy Mother's Day to everyone out there too...a day to celebrate all which was done for you by the very person who bore you...who carried you for 9 months...and did all sorts of things, be they big or small.

Anyway, coming back to topic. I hate this rain! Why can't it be sunny and warm? But i guess people are like that. When it's sunny and warm, they just want it to rain. Maggots. S4 took over already, but the weather is just so cruddy...ack!

Ich will nach Hause!

DOO duties yesterday were boring, to say the least. Came in and rotted away in the Ops Room until ranger Lek showed up. Wah...that was 01 x scary...i felt traumatised...sigh. Apparently he came back to see us watching Band of Brothers so i guess maybe he doesn't have that much of an opinion about it? After all...it is better than watching bong-bong and the battalion duty staff are entitled to some R&R, you know? Still, it was quite tense in the Ops Room with CI/S3/ranger Lek (i will refer to him using any of the 3 monikers) in his room, doing who-knows-what, with me, my BOS, and my Ops TA huddling outside watching the gogglebox. I saw him reading the papers...and well...reading the papers! Goodness, Sir, can read at home...right?? Oh no. Better shut up. Wait he make me sign 7...then will be shiok shiok already. Sigh.

So after S3 left, i was left to rot alone in the Ops Room...i even watched seven discs of Band of Brothers...sigh. Actually it's a super powerful series...which every soldier, really should watch...It was summed up by the words of the German general who surrendered...words which hold such deep meaning and truth. Men will only forge a true bond of brotherhood in combat. Sigh. I wish i could lead like that, although much remains to be seen as to leadership.

In the evening, this Captain called from 23 SA asking me to open the Officers' Mess! Maggot! Don't you know that the Mess is closed on weekends?! But still. Because there were senior commanders from THAILAND! around...who wanted to relax and play pool, i guess i really should open the Mess...you know, for PR purposes...

Big Kwek got into an auto wreck and was sent to hospital. RSO called and told me...which ended up making me call CO, S1, DSO and other assorted personnel. Turns out he only sprained his neck...but with all the incident reporting and administrative buggerations...

Sigh. Why am i always tekan-ed as the DOO?

Why on a Saturday??

But anyway. Thank you, emelyne, for putting up with my nonsense and all. I asked if your birthday was in June because...because, because! Haha. You'll know soon enough. Anyway, thanks for being there for most of the day except for the portions when you went MIA.

Watched the late-night movie on Channel 8...something about illegal bike-racing...which had a moral behind it...haha. Not really a moral, but i liked the character development. Let's see...i watched until around 0100, then settled my DOO and DSO report and then went to bed...

Got up at 0630. ziyi and darren wanted to draw arms for guard...so i went down to open the armskotes for them...halfway through DSO called my handphone and asked about kwek! Maggots! Sigh...so i ended up running up and down...haiz. shacked out at the start of the day.

Guess what! Ling Fei said i could grab an umbrella in the TA office! Home bound!
