Noch mehr sind gekommen! | B-52 | Hallo wieder, du...

Hallo ihr alle da draussen...first things first! I finally got my Kahlúa and Absolut Raspberri from wee chong...raspberri is a bit strange this time because it smelt amazingly like raspberry juice...i couldn't detect a single whiff of vodka inside...nor could my brother...and he is super sensitive to it...hmm...maybe i just got cheated out of 20 bucks to buy a bottle of expensive raspberry juice? Never mind. More on that later.

Today i went out with a friend of mine for lunch...originally we wanted to eat for 2 hours...but then, with the amazing rate at which food disappears down my gut...especially so because this morning i woke up and went running...maggots...i am still so unfit...sigh...feel like an old man. But anyways, although i finished fast, we did manage to sit there for an amazing 1.5 hours! Haha...playing pranks on that maggot kelvin who called twice but my lady friend answered...and what's more amusing?

What's more amusing is that maggot kelvin called reuben to call me so that he could investigate what was going on. Hahaha...you maggots. Especially kelvin. Thanks for providing us with some...amusement...hahaha...and yes i am that lucky, if you choose to believe it. I just had a higher profile than you...that's about it. Hahaha...sigh. Desperate.

Speaking of desperate, tar, if you were referring to me in your blog, i'm sorry. Don't take my words like that...well...i guess it's my error to assume too. So...thanks for the feedback! =)

Just came from the kitchen. Was making a bottle of sugar syrup...isn't it interesting how learning drinks actually forces you back into the kitchen? Hmm. Haha...maybe i'll learn cooking soon! You never know...

I also made myself a B-52...its not the Stratofortress bomber of Vietnam/Gulf fame, but a layered shooter...yes...it's the drink which made the old pousse-café drinks popular again...

B-52

1 part Kahlúa
1 part Bailey's Irish Cream
1 part Cointreau

Layer in the order given above in a shooter glass. Set alight if you wish.

It has finally dawned on me why shooters normally contain some Bailey's Cream. It's because...well...shooters tend to burn their way down into your stomach where it gives you that warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy. But your mouth will feel like it went for a dose of the newest Listerine Acid Mouthwash (ha, ha) but Bailey's will temper the spice and leave a wonderful after-taste in the mouth. Sweet, creamy, and soothing after the oral assault...oooh yeah.

Anyway, the B-52 is sweet. Very sweet! The Cointreau will wreak havoc, but you also get the distinct coffee flavour, and the Bailey's only comes in late to round the whole experience off. Strange. Bailey's always seems to have that effect. Hmm. Pictures to come!

It's only Friday! But it feels like Saturday already! mmm.
